Stork Ticker MCP server

Stork Ticker exposes a Model Context Protocol server so AI agents (Claude, Cursor, Claude Code, ChatGPT, …) can read market prices and manage your Telegram price alerts end to end.

Getting an API key

  1. Sign up or sign in.
  2. Verify your email (we send a link at signup; the dashboard can resend it).
  3. Open your dashboard → “MCP API keys” → create a key. It is shown once and stored only as a hash. Max 2 active keys.

Send the key on every tool call:

Authorization: Bearer stk_YOUR_KEY

Every tool requires a key — calls without one get 401. Revoking a key in the dashboard stops it within seconds.

Tools

list_supported_pairs read-only

Top USD pairs on Kraken and Coinbase with last price, observation time and feed health. At most 10 results per call.

get_price read-only

Last price for a crypto pair (BTC/USD) or a US stock ticker (AAPL). Returns the venue of record and observation time; a stale feed answers 'price unavailable, feed reconnecting' instead of an old price.

create_alert write

Create an alert for the key owner and deliver it to their linked Telegram chat when the price crosses the threshold. Requires a linked Telegram chat; plan limits apply (3 active alerts free, 25 Pro). At most 20 create calls per day per key.

list_my_alerts read-only

The key owner's alerts (id, instrument, venue, condition, threshold, status), newest first, at most 25. Only ever the key owner's own alerts.

delete_alert write

Delete one of the key owner's alerts by id. Alerts belonging to anyone else return the same 'Alert not found' as a missing id.

Creating alerts needs a linked Telegram chat (connect the bot from your dashboard) and follows your plan's active-alert limit: 3 on free, 25 on Pro. Alerts notify via Telegram once per crossing and are not trading or financial advice.

Limits

  • 60 tool calls per hour and 1,000 per day per key (tools/call counts; protocol handshakes and tools/list do not).
  • 20 create_alert calls per day per key.
  • 20 anonymous calls per hour per IP (without a valid key).
  • At most 10 results per call; alert lists are capped at 25. No argument can raise these caps.
  • When a limit is hit the server answers 429 with a Retry-After header naming the limit that was hit.

Privacy: each call is logged with the tool name, the instrument asked about (for example BTC/USD), and a response summary, kept for 30 days. Thresholds, alert details, and account data are never logged.

Attribution

Every tool answer ends with a source line naming stork-ticker.com, the venue of record, and the observation time. Keep that attribution when you use or relay the data: personal and agent use is fine; bulk copying or resale is not (see our terms).

Connect your client

Claude (web, desktop, mobile)

Settings → Customize → Connectors → add a custom connector with the URL https://stork-ticker.com/mcp; under Request headers add Authorization: Bearer stk_YOUR_KEY (fixed credentials are supported instead of OAuth). Free Claude plans are limited to one custom connector.

ChatGPT

Custom MCP apps live in developer mode. As of October 2026, full MCP support (including write actions such as creating alerts) is limited to Business, Enterprise, and Edu workspaces and needs an admin to enable developer mode.
